However, what I thought at first is that successful experiences can not become doctrine, and restrain the creativity.
The successful experiences in certain field can not be enlarged in any fields. There is a sentence in Zen: a man drinks water and knows whether it is cold or warm. It is fit for you to wear your own clothes. My 20 years can be summed up ‘sadness mixes with joy’. There are thousands of words, but I do not know how to start with. I feel I try to maintain optimistic and peaceful attitude all the time and get along with others harmoniously. My most success relies on the aid of my friends. Why did they help me? I think the main reason is I have always made myself useful to others.
I have never taken myself as a successful person in my heart, when I have accomplished. If a successful man considers himself successful, his behavior would stress others and hurt their self-esteems. On the development view, a person who sticks to past success has lots of blind spots. For instance, now, many successful people who are born during the 1960s and 1970s can not understand the thinking, view as well as life style of youths in the 1980s and 1990s. Once new generation becomes the main stream, they will be abandoned.
Successful people tend to produce conservative ideas. They feared that new changes threaten their own interests and new thinking erodes their authorities. But the conservation has to be destroyed on account of inevitably coming new changes. Yangtze River back wave pushes front wave，front wave dies on the beach. What died on the beach are conservative thinkers. If you are not conservative, and have courage to throw away inherent concepts, you will not die on the beach,
Entrepreneurs of our generation make use of market environment of our era to create necessary wealth. When we hand down the wealth to the next generation, whether can he use past operational experiences to carry out? I think it does not necessarily. Maybe SOHO does not sell the houses some day. It is likely for SOHO to operate totally different projects many years later. At that time, the real estate experiences of Pan Shiyi do not necessarily work. What we can hand down is spiritual stuff. Specific experience certainly is not adaptable to future.
I wrote these in order to correct my attitude and psychologically prepare to face my past achievements. The successful model in certain phase is always surpassed by the next. Even an accomplishment called by the last era is treated as a ridiculous example by the next.
Figuring out many things means you exceed yourself, and then you can meet changes with better attitude.
